Cowry ShellsEarly forms of money traded in communities; all forms of money that are not a coin or derived form one. This is all forms of money up until around 2700 years ago. This type of money still exists in communities but relying on a particular item or concept can be used as an exchange of value (including a YapStone), so once this is realized the concept of cryptocurrency becomes uncontroversial.
